Westport Art Group to open New Exhibit Space.

Members of the Westport Art Group will open the new exhibit space at the Westport Farmers Market on July 12^th, Saturday through Oct 11^th, Saturday. The Westport Grange has refurbished the stage area and made it available for local artists and artisans to show their work during Westport Farmers Market hours 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Grange, 931 Main Street, Central Village. The market runs every Saturday from July 5 - October 11.

This inaugural show will include work by: Meredith Cornell; Ruth Edwards; Doris McGovern; Mary Sexton, Judy McLean; Yvonne Nolan; and Julio C. Baldo. Westport Art Group members will also have a show on July 19.

The stage is accessed by a newly completed staircase by local carpenter Charles Moore. Thanks in large part to a grant from the Westport Cultural Council administering the Helen E. Ellis Trust.
