special thank you to the families that thought of the Devin Laubi Foundation
during their times of grief. The LOFTUS FAMILY and the O’CONNOR FAMILY named us as a charity, to
make a donation to in memory of their loved ones. This is very bitter sweet for us. TOM
CONNEELY also held in own fund
raiser, with the proceeds donated to the Devin Laubi Foundation. Through his own loss and knowing how we
helped little Aidan, he wanted to give back.
This was a much unexpected and wonderful surprise. There was also a time that I was ready to
dissolve the Foundation, due to lack of funding and the demand we were unable
to fulfill. Then an angel heard my
distress. We received a contribution
that brought tears to my eyes, because it saved us, from the JOSEPH E. & FRANCES E. HENEY CHARITABLE TRUST. Thank you all again for believing in what
we do and your support, that we clearly wouldn’t exist without!!! Other Points of Interest Another special thank you to KARA POWERS for putting together the
video we used at the Spring Fling to help people understand why we do what we
do. There were many photos of my
Devin, some of the children we assisted and some photos from past events. We were given many compliments and were
told there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, now that’s impact. We greatly appreciate anyone’s
desire to help us, but it had been decided at
the last meeting, that the Foundation would not participate in fundraising
activities such as “shop for a cause”, unless it does not take time away from
our volunteers for planning larger events.
We will have sponsor sheets
available for those participants ambitious enough to go out and get extra
donations for their work. Originally I
had enclosed them with flyers, this year we’d like interested parties to get
it form the web site. This is a great
way to create awareness, for what you are doing and inform others of the dire
need of these families. Real children
lost in the abyss of this disease with parents not knowing where to turn. Our Web Site We would like you to utilize

convenience. We are also going to cut
down on our mailing and send the newsletter by e-mail and have it posted on
